necessary ingredients
- 1 cup chana dal (soak for 5-6 hours and drain the water)
- 1 tsp green chili paste
- 1 packet fruit salt
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- juice of 1 lemon
Salt as per taste
ingredients for seasoning - 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp asafoetida
Few curry leaves
Ingredients for Topping - 1/4 cup sev
- 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
- little grated coconut

Put the lentils in the mixer and grind them finely.
Add green chilli paste, fruit salt, turmeric powder, sugar, lemon juice and salt to it, mix well and spread on a greased plate.
Cook in steam for 15 minutes. Then turn off the flame.
When it cools down, crush it in a mixer.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida and curry leaves.
Add Khaman and fry for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and serve garnished with sev, pomegranate seeds and coconut.
