Guwahati: President Draupadi Murmu’s three-day North-East tour begins
Guwahati: President Draupadi Murmu arrived here on Monday on a three-day visit to the northern region, where she will participate in several programs. Murmu landed at Guwahati’s popular Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in a special Indian Air Force flight and was warmly welcomed by Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and various officials. “It is an honor to welcome Her Excellency the President Smt. Murmu will also deliver a speech at a meeting in Mawphlang and virtually inaugurate the improved Rongjeng Mangsang Adokgre Road and Mairang Ranigodown Ajra Road, as well as lay the first stone of the Shillong Peak Telepheric and tourist accommodation at Kongthong, Mawlingot and Kudengrim villages. , In the night, the President will attend a civil reception to be hosted in her honor by the Government of Meghalaya at the Raj Bhawan in Shillong. Murmu will attend the golden jubilee celebrations of Karbi Kishore Mahotsav at Taralangso and Diphu in Assam on Wednesday.
