Harish Rao: Revanth lacks the image of a Telangana activist
Siddipet. Siddipet: Former minister and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao on Monday said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy may attain high political office in future but he does not have the reputation of a dedicated Telangana worker. Addressing the 10th Telangana Formation Day function organised by the BRS at the district office here, Harish Rao said Revanth is not equal to those who fought for the statehood of Telangana, especially those living in Siddipet.
The former minister hoisted the party and national flag at the BRS district office and also inaugurated a Blood Donation Camp. During his address, he accused Revanth of opposing Telangana workers in the past and getting the label of “anti-national”. “Revanth Reddy never raised the slogan “Jai Telangana”, Harish alleged. He said that unlike the BRS regime, the slogan has almost disappeared under his administration. The BRS MLA also pointed out that the press releases issued by the Congress government on statehood also did not include the slogan, while BRS’s communication prominently features “Jai Telangana” and “Jai Jai Telangana”.
He warned that without former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Telangana will face major challenges. “BRS is the only protector of the state’s rights,” Harish said. He criticised the Congress government for its handling of agrarian issues in Koodaveli and Haldi Vagu and said KCR always ensured water was released for crops. “Andhra leaders are once again conspiring to make Hyderabad the common capital,” he said.
