Harish Rao said BRS is the voice of the people of Telangana

Sangareddy: Former minister T Harish Rao said Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) will continue to be the voice of the people of Telangana. Speaking at a BRS meeting in Sangareddy on Tuesday, Harish Rao said the BRS has experienced many ups and downs in its history of more than two decades. Rao asserted that BRS will maintain peace in its victories and defeats and said party president K. Chandrasekhar Rao had founded the party 22 years ago on his own account. Overcoming many challenges he led a successful 14-year struggle for the creation of Telangana state. Since local body and parliamentary elections will be held soon, Harish Rao appealed to party workers and leaders to make collective efforts to strengthen the party. He assured that he would be available 24 hours for party meetings and said that he would speak to Sangareddy within half an hour of receiving the telephone call. The former minister campaigned for the party’s seats in the district and was credited with the party’s victory in seven of the ten electoral districts. Calling upon the cadre to remain strong to see a better future, he said leaders of BRS and Chandrashekhar Rao have sacrificed their positions many times for the interest of the state. BRS lost the election by a margin of only two percent of the votes. Congress had made false propaganda against the BRS government which people believed. Sangareddy MLA Chinta Prabhakar, Zilla Parishad Chairman V Manjushree, Naraspur MLA V Sunita Lakshma Reddy and other BRS leaders were present. Harish Rao also attended another meeting in the electoral district of Zaheerabad, in which BRS won.
