Harry Kane may join Bayern Munich soon: report
London (IANS). England and Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has reportedly agreed a four-year contract with German champions Bayern Munich and will travel to Germany for medicals on Friday.
After several weeks of protracted negotiations, Bayern and Spurs agreed a deal for the star striker worth over €100 million.
Kane was reportedly keen to stay in north London but has now agreed to join Bayern Munich after receiving a huge fee and has signed a four-year deal with Bayern FC, reports Eurosport.
The 30-year-old wanted his future to be decided ahead of Spurs’ season-opening Premier League game at Brentford on Sunday.
Kane has been a major target for the German champions throughout the summer and a number of bids were rejected before a deal was reached on Thursday.
The striker is expected to wear the number-9 jersey. Earlier this number belonged to Robert Lewandowski who is now a part of Barcelona.
The player is Tottenham’s top scorer with 280 goals in 435 matches. With 213 goals in 320 Premier League matches, he is currently 48 goals away from breaking Alan Shearer’s record as the top scorer in Premier League history.
Kane has won the Premier League Golden Boot three times since making his debut for the club in 2012; In 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2020-21.
