necessary ingredients
- 1 bowl fresh curd
- 1 to 2 ripe bananas
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons grated coconut
- 1 tablespoon chironji
- 1 small bowl roasted makhana
- 1 teaspoon ghee
- 1 teaspoon roasted mustard
- 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
recipe
First of all, put curd in a bowl and blend it well. Now add sugar as per the quantity of curd and also put two chopped banana pieces in the curd. On the other hand, heat one to two spoons of ghee in a vessel and put chironji in it. When chironji starts getting roasted and its color starts turning light golden, add grated coconut to it and mix well. Now after this prepared mixture cools down a bit, put it in a bowl of curd and mix it.
If you want, you can add a pinch of salt and a pinch of black pepper powder to the curd to make it more tasty before serving. Apart from this, to make banana curd more delicious, add roasted mustard and cumin powder to it. This will change the taste as well as the colour.
You can add roasted makhana to decorate the curd and 2 to 4 raisins or cashew nuts for garnishing. If you like crunchy makhanas, then add them just before serving because if you add them in advance, they become soft. Now keep the raita in the fridge for some time and then serve it chilled.
