Have you tried Shimla Mirch Dhokla
Material :
3 large bell peppers
for dhokla batter
1 cup gram flour, 2 tbsp semolina, 2 tsp lemon juice, 1 tsp sugar, 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste, 2 tsp oil, salt – as per taste, 2 tsp fruit salt
other material
1 tbsp oil, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 2 tsp sesame seeds, pinch of asafoetida, 6 curry leaves, coriander leaves for garnishing
Method :
First cut the capsicum in half, then remove all its seeds.
Now mix all the ingredients in a bowl except fruit salt. Prepare a thick solution.
Lastly, add fruit salt and mix two spoons of water again.
Divide this batter into six parts.
Now put this mixture in capsicum and steam it for 8 to 10 minutes.
After the time is over, remove it from the steamer and cut the capsicum into two more parts.
Heat oil in a pan and add curry leaves, mustard seeds, asafoetida to it. Now put these dhoklas in it and fry them lightly.
Garnish by adding sesame and coriander leaves on top.
