HDMT: Papum Pare vs Lower Siang in boys’ football final, Namsai vs East Kameng in girls’ final
ITANAGAR: Papum Pare will meet Lower Siang in the boys’ football of the state-level 9th Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy (HDMT) in Aalo in West Siang district on 25 May.
In the girls’ category, Namsai will face East Kameng in the final.
Papum Pare and Lower Siang entered the final, defeating Siang and Keyi Panyor, respectively in the semifinals played on Saturday.
Papum Pare scored a goal in each half (36th & 59th mins) through Tai Raju and Nabam Kasa to secure a place in the final.
Lower Siang won 6-5 against Keyi Panyor in a penalty shootout after a goalless draw in regulation time.
The volleyball semifinals for both boys’ and girls’ categories will be played on Sunday from 1:30 pm at the Siyom Army ground.
In the girls’ category, Capital Complex will take on Kurung Kumey in the first semifinal, while Keyi Panyor will be up against East Kameng in the second semifinal.
In the boys’ category, Lower Siang will compete against Upper Subansiri and Kurung Kumey will take on East Kameng.

Girls: Itanagar Capital Complex beat Bichom (27-25, 25-20); Kurung Kumey beat Papum Pare (23-25, 25-13, 15-9); Keyi Panyor beat Lohit (25-17, 25-18);and East Kameng beat Leparada (25-16, 25-14).
Boys: Lower Siang beat West Kameng (25-17, 25-16); Upper Subansiri beat Papum Pare (16-25, 25-21, 15-13); Kurung Kumey beat Longding (25-17, 25-19); and East Kameng beat Anjaw (25-22, 25-20).
