Gurugram: A waiter at a dhaba in Gurugram killed a middle-aged man washing utensils by hitting him on the head with wood from a stove when he refused to make rotis. After the incident the accused fled from the spot. When dhaba owner Deepak reached the dhaba in the morning, he saw the dead body in a bloody condition and informed the police. The police took possession of the body and sent it for postmortem and started searching for the accused. Within a few hours of the incident, the police arrested the accused from Old Faridabad.
According to the police, Dhaba owner Deepak told that he runs Aggarwal Dhaba near Rama Garden. 52-year-old Darshan Lal, a resident of Jammu, used to wash utensils at his dhaba. Karan (40 years old), a resident of Kasganj, UP, was a waiter at his place. Both of them used to stay at the dhaba at night. He told the police that when he came to his dhaba on the morning of November 10, he saw Darshan Lal lying on the bed in a bloody condition and Karan was absconding. After this he informed the police. Police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for postmortem. The police investigated the case and arrested the accused within a few hours.
During interrogation, accused Karan told that on the night of November 9, he had consumed alcohol at a dhaba while sitting with Darshan Lal. After drinking alcohol, he asked Darshan Lal to make roti, but he refused. On this, Karan hit Darshan Lal on the head with wood from the stove and ran away from there. After committing the crime, he was going to his village to escape from the police, but the police arrested him before reaching the village. Police have recovered a mobile phone from the possession of the accused. The police is investigating the matter
