He is not a human but a beast, neighbor raped and killed the girl
Gorakhpur: In the Badhalganj area of Gorakhpur, a shocking and heinous incident involving a ten-year-old girl unfolded, leaving the community in dismay. The lifeless body of the young girl, who had gone missing from her home, was discovered within the residence of a neighbor. She had been tragically strangled to death.
The post-mortem examination has confirmed the cause of death as strangulation, with clear signs of brutality. The police have initiated legal proceedings against four individuals, including the primary suspect, Kuber, under charges of murder, concealing a deceased body, and rape. Law enforcement has apprehended three individuals, including Kuber, who were subsequently presented in court and remanded to jail.
On a Sunday, a 10-year-old girl from a village in the Badhalganj Kotwali area was playing near her doorstep. At around 3 o’clock in the afternoon, a neighbor named Kuber, living in the vicinity, lured her to his residence under the pretext of offering her biscuits. During this period, there was no one else present in Kuber’s house except for him. Tragically, he subjected the girl to brutal violence, which ultimately led to her death. The child also suffered head injuries.
When the girl was reported missing, her family began a search. Late in the evening, during a search of Kuber’s residence, the girl was found. Despite her lifeless condition, the family rushed her to the hospital.
Upon receiving information about the murder and rape, SP North Manoj Kumar Awasthi arrived at the scene on Sunday night to conduct an inspection. Subsequently, the police filed charges against Kuber, Rekha, Deepchand, and Gautam, including allegations of murder, rape, and concealing the deceased body. Kuber, Rekha, and Deepchand were taken into custody and placed in jail on Monday. The post-mortem examination of the girl’s remains was conducted on Monday, accompanied by videography for documentation.
In a separate incident, a young girl residing at the intersection of PPGanj Nagar Panchayat in Gorakhpur had gone to a nearby bakery at eight o’clock on a Sunday evening to purchase toffees. The shopkeeper provided her with candy but then lured her inside the shop and engaged in indecent acts. Distraught, the girl returned home and recounted the incident to her family.
Upon receiving this information, the PPGanj police promptly apprehended the accused shopkeeper from his residence on Sunday night. Following a complaint filed by the girl’s father, the police initiated legal proceedings against the accused youth, Dinesh Madheshiya, under the POCSO Act and other relevant sections. The police station in-charge, Tej Jagannath Singh, stated that after presenting him in court, the accused was sent to jail.
The girl’s uncle shared that she had six older brothers, one of whom was employed as a car driver in Gujarat. Tragically, he was found dead in his car under unexplained circumstances on the day of Vishwakarma Puja. The family had just begun to cope with this loss when the current tragedy unfolded. The girl’s uncle further alleged that he had to bear all the expenses, including the transportation of the deceased body. The family relies on manual labor for their livelihood. They had to incur expenses, such as Rs 1,000 for filling fuel in the car from Barhalganj, Rs 1,000 for the fare, Rs 2,000 for shrouds and other items at the medical college, and an additional Rs 500 for purchasing a vial to preserve swabs and samples. Furthermore, the Barhalganj police charged Rs 1,500 for videography. The post-mortem report identified injury marks on the head and neck, with vaginal swabs and viscera preserved for further examination.
Regrettably, this incident of violence against a young child is not an isolated case, as it brings to mind a similar horrific episode that occurred on August 9, 2023, in a Chiluatal village. In that incident, a young man named Mithlesh brutally assaulted a three-year-old girl, resulting in her tragic demise. He had kidnapped the girl from her mother’s bed and subjected her to violence and rape, leading to her death. After realizing the consequences of his actions, he discarded the girl’s lifeless body over a seven-foot boundary and fled the village. Notably, on the day of this incident, Mithlesh had been released on bail from jail following a previous case involving the rape of his nine-year-old niece.
