Hearing on hotel businessman-DGP case on 5th December

Shimla. The hearing in the State High Court on the matter related to the security of Palampur businessman Nishant Kumar Sharma was postponed to December 5. The applicant had informed the High Court through e-mail about the threat to his and his family’s safety. Converting this e-mail into a criminal writ petition, the High Court passed an interim order and ordered SP Shimla and SP Kangra to provide proper security to the applicant.

After the hearing, the court extended these interim orders till December 5.
The court also ordered the government to provide all the records of the investigation conducted after the FIR lodged in Kangra district to the judges hearing the case for perusal.

According to the case, Nishant Kumar Sharma has written to the High Court through an e-mail on October 28, 2023, about the threat to his and his family’s life. The applicant has written that he is worried and afraid that he will either be killed or seriously intimidated. The businessman has written that he has been attacked in Gurugram also.
