Heavy rains in parts of Tamil Nadu
Chennai (IANS). Heavy rain lashed Chennai and neighboring areas on Thursday morning, throwing life out of gear in several districts of Tamil Nadu.
Heavy rains lashed Arumbakkam, Moggapeyar, Koyambedu, Maduravayal and Poonamallee in Chennai besides parts of Chengalpattu and Kancheepuram.
Incessant rains in many parts of Chennai and its neighboring parts disrupted traffic and led to long queues of vehicles on the roads.
The Regional Meteorological Center (RMC) has predicted moderate rain and thundershowers over Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Villupuram and Tiruvannamalai districts during the day.
Significantly, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rains with thunderstorms in parts of Tamil Nadu.
Heavy rain is also likely in many districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
