High Court amended the dress code of women judicial officers
Kochi: The Kerala High Court has amended the dress code for women judicial officers in the state keeping in mind the changing times. For women, saree is the norm and from now on, salwar-kameez or blouse/shirt with full length trousers or skirts is allowed But the color of the dress must be black and white and it must also be “plain and simple,” the order said. A brief description is given in the October 7 order following the change, which includes white sarees with full/half sleeve black collar blouses and black gowns with stiff/soft bands and collars as currently worn. Consists of white or black kameez of normal fit with high neck collar with white salwar and black full sleeve coat covering the ankles, soft stiff collar and bands and gown as required. White full sleeve high neck blouse shirt with collar, black trousers and skirt with stiff soft collar and band, black full sleeve court with soft stiff collar and band and gown cane be worn as per requirement.
