High Court and NGT are worried but CG environment department is in deep slumber

Raipur News. Even though NGT is concerned about the increasing pollution in the country, the Department of Environment is completely inactive. Due to the dirty water coming out of the liquor factory near Sargaon, which is released into the river, thousands of fishes and aquatic animals have died prematurely, which neither the factory owner nor the Department of Environment is concerned about. The limit is crossed when the officials of the Department of Environment did not know that the poisonous water coming out of the liquor factory is being released into the river. Due to the poisonous water of the river, not only fishes but about 15 to 20 cows have also died. People have started fearing to use the river water and take bath. The people living nearby are facing many problems due to the poisonous smoke and water coming out of the liquor factory. If people are to be believed, they start suffocating due to this polluted smoke and water entering their homes, but the environment department is not paying any attention to this. Even though the environment department has woken up after the reprimand of the High Court, it is not able to give any answer. It is worth mentioning that at one time schools and colleges were closed for 2 weeks due to increasing pollution in the country’s capital Delhi. Instead of learning a lesson from all this, the environment department is sleeping in Kumbhakarna’s sleep. The lives of almost lakhs of people have been endangered due to the Hitler-like attitude of the environment department.

environmental protection board Environment Protection Board has no teeth

Environment Protection Board has become a white elephant. In the name of work, there is a display like the teeth of an elephant, that is, the teeth for eating are different and the teeth for showing are different. In the last few years, air pollution has emerged as a big threat for the people. In the blind race of modernization, the global environment is deteriorating due to the rapidly increasing number of petrol-diesel driven vehicles, microscopic dust particles rising from construction sites, smoke coming out of factory chimneys, solid waste and factories and many other reasons. Due to which it is becoming difficult for people to breathe. In terms of air pollution, Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, is included in the list of the most polluted cities of the country. Due to the rapid industrialization here, the graph of pollution is also increasing rapidly. The result is that due to the inaction of the careless officers of the Environment Department, half of the population of Chhattisgarh is in the grip of many diseases.

Not only this, the same situation is also around the capital. When this is the condition of the capital, then one can imagine what would be the situation in the remote forest areas in the industrial area. Big industrial houses operating in the state are running factories without NOC. The Environment Board is ignoring all the irregularities and settling the matter by taking a hefty fee. As per rules, officials of the environment department should inspect the factories operating in Chhattisgarh from time to time. Only one question is arising in the minds of people that what is the reason that officials of the environment department do not inspect and give free hand to the industries to pollute the environment. Most of the factories and power plants are established around the capital. Due to which the whole area is suffering from pollution, but apart from this, there are factories in the middle of the city. The smoke spewing from the chimneys of these companies is entering the houses of the area and is acting as a slow poison by slowly hollowing out the lives of the people like termites. To save their lives from this poisonous smoke, the people of these flats have to keep their windows closed all the time. The deadly black particles coming out of the smoke also settle on the utensils used for eating and drinking and the goods kept in the houses. The environment and pollution control department is also probably not paying attention to the poisonous smoke coming out of these companies.

Air pollution: High Court had to take cognizance

Amid the changing weather and increased humidity, the air of the district is getting polluted. Factories and power generating companies are considered to be the main cause of pollution. According to the records released on the app, the air quality index on November 1 was recorded at around 300. This is considered to be the worst situation.

Reprimanded many times

The departmental minister has reprimanded the officers and industry operators many times regarding the problem of pollution, but the situation remains the same. People have not yet got relief from the problem of pollution, due to which they are becoming seriously ill.

It is being seen that due to the industrial areas being near many cities including the capital in Chhattisgarh, people are troubled by the toxic smoke coming out of the chimneys of factories. The High Court had to take cognizance of this. How many factories have installed machines for pollution control and what is their status. Does the environment department know?
