High Court’s order amid code of conduct, appoint them
Chhattisgarh High Court has asked the state government to issue orders for the appointment of people who have been selected in the interview to other posts in the police department, including Sub-Inspector, after taking permission from the Election Commission. It is known that in the year 2018, the process of recruitment was started for 975 posts including SI, Subedar, Platoon Commander. After written examination, physical test and main examination, the list of successful participants was released in the month of May this year and 1500 candidates were interviewed in the month of September.
Earlier, 721 candidates had filed petitions in the High Court alleging irregularities in the recruitment process and demanding a stay on the recruitment process. The High Court had sought a reply from the state government regarding the objection. This reply has been given by the state government in which the hearing is still going on. The High Court had rejected the demand to stop the recruitment process.
Despite no stay from the court, the selected candidates filed a petition in the High Court against not giving appointment to the successful participants. In this he told that despite the completion of the interview process, orders for appointment and posting are not being issued. During the hearing on Thursday, the state government said that appointment orders were not being issued due to the implementation of the election code of conduct. On this, the bench of Justice Arvind Singh Chandel directed that the process of issuing appointment orders should be completed after taking permission from the authorized officer of the Election Commission. The case will be heard next week.
