High speed truck hit, 28 people injured and one killed in tractor
Mahasamund: A tragic road accident has occurred on NH 53 in the district. A speeding truck hit the tractor. A woman died in the accident. 28 people have been injured, out of which 5 have suffered serious injuries. The injured were brought to the nearby community health center Tumgaon. From where one person has been referred to Raipur and two injured have been referred to Mahasamund Hospital. After the incident the truck driver has fled from the spot. Police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident and registered the case and started investigation. This matter is of Pateva police station area.
According to the information, the truck (truck number OD 15 X 3396) hit the tractor from behind near Mungai Mata Mandir on NH 53 under Pateva police station area last night. A total of 39 people were traveling in the tractor. One woman died while 28 people were injured in the accident. Five people suffered serious injuries.
As soon as the people around heard the sound of the accident, they reached to help the injured. All the injured were immediately brought to Tumgaon Community Health Center with the help of 112. From where 3 injured were referred. Out of which one has been sent to Raipur and 2 to Mahasamund Hospital. In the case, the police have started investigating by establishing a route and the absconding truck driver is being searched.
