Highest rainfall was recorded in Pithora tehsil at 628.4 mm

Mahasamund. An average rainfall of 499.2 mm has been recorded in Mahasamund district from 01 June 2024 till now during the current monsoon. According to the information received from the land records, the highest average rainfall in the district was 628.4 mm in Pithora tehsil, 589.7 mm in Basna, 547.3 mm in Mahasamund, 467.1 mm in Bagbahara, 428.9 mm in Saraipali and the lowest rainfall of 334.0 mm was recorded in Komakhan tehsil.

Today on 05 August, an average rainfall of 12.1 mm was recorded. In the tehsil wise rainfall of the district, 10.2 mm was recorded in Pithora tehsil, 7.7 mm in Bagbahara, 2.0 mm in Mahasamund, 1.0 mm in Basna, 0.9 in Saraipali and 0.1 mm in Komakhan tehsil.
