Himachal: Government is taking care of specially abled children
Himachal Pradesh: Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani claimed that the state government is taking care of Divyang children and preparing special training programmes for their betterment. He was addressing Divyang children at the annual function of NGO Pehchaan NGO at Bachat Bhawan in Hamirpur on Sunday. The minister said that new courses will be started in ITI and other vocational training institutes in the state to make these children self-reliant.
Apart from government institutes, Kaushal Vikas Nigam centres will also be roped in to train these children. He said that a big institute for Divyang people will soon be set up in Solan, which will have training and rehabilitation facilities. Dharmani said that all Divyang children have special abilities, and their teachers and trainers need to identify these qualities so that they can be trained in the respective fields. He said that the Chief Minister has issued instructions to identify and transfer land for the construction of Pehchaan School in the district. He also announced that Rs 50,000 will be given to the organisation for the welfare of these children.
