Himachal Pradesh: Una Police arrested a 27-year-old youth from Jalandhar last night. 10.15 grams of heroin was recovered from him. The accused has been identified as Vishal Gupta, a resident of Jalandhar city. According to police sources, based on a tip-off, he was arrested near Sabzi Mandi in Mehatpur. During the search, the police party intercepted Vishal and recovered the banned substance from him. Investigation revealed that the accused was trying to sell heroin in small doses to local consumers. A case has been registered against the accused under sections 21, 61 and 85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act at Mehatpur police station. Further investigation is underway.
