Himachal Pradesh: The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS). It is a historic site where many important meetings and conferences were held during the Indian freedom struggle, attended by many national leaders. On the occasion, Secretary of the Institute Mehar Chand Negi hoisted the national flag at the main building complex. He greeted all present and highlighted the importance of contributing wholeheartedly to the progress of the nation. He encouraged everyone to perform their duties with dedication and strive for excellence in every task. As part of the celebrations, Negi also distributed gifts to the children of officers and staff of the Institute and motivated and encouraged them. Officers, staff and their families participated in the Republic Day celebrations with great enthusiasm.
