Himachal: Two day ophthalmology forum organized in Hamirpur
Himachal Pradesh: Himachal Pradesh Ophthalmology Society organised a two-day mid-term conference for postgraduate students of ophthalmology at Hotel Hamir. Ophthalmologist Dr Anil Verma said that 75 senior doctors from government and private hospitals of the state, Punjab and Chandigarh participated in the programme. Dr Verma said that the researchers presented 42 research papers on various topics of ophthalmology. He said that Dr Kusha Chaudhary, a postgraduate student of Indira Gandhi Government Medical College Shimla was awarded the best research paper award, while Dr Navpreet Kaur, a PG student of IGMC Shimla got the second prize. In the programme, Professor Dr Gursatinder Singh, Guest Faculty, discussed in detail the progression of glaucoma and its impact on human life. Former Principal of RKGMC Dr Anil Chauhan addressed and shared his experiences with the attendees.
