Home Minister’s close aide stabbed, admitted to ICU

Durg. Congress leader Pappu Yadav was attacked by some people in Risali area under Newai police station of the district. The condition of the Congress leader remains critical after the attack. Risali is the area of Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu and Pappu Yadav is his close worker. People say that when the Home Minister’s workers and Congress leaders are not safe in his area, then how will the police protect the common people.

Newai TI Prashant Mishra said that the incident took place between 8-9 pm on Saturday night. Pappu Yadav sits every day at a shop named Chai Chaupal located near Shitala Mandir Tank Maroda around 8.30 pm. Other people are also sitting there. On Saturday night suddenly 15-20 boys including Mangal Dewar, Dadu Dewar, Harish Sahu came and attacked Pappu Yadav with sticks and hockey sticks.

Pappu Yadav’s men beat up the accused. Meanwhile, Mangal Dewar went from there and brought a knife. He inserted a knife into Pappu’s stomach. Pappu fell dead after being stabbed near his ribs. After this everyone ran away from there. Pappu’s friends immediately took him to Sector 9 hospital. There he is kept in ICU. His condition is quite critical
