Hot khichdi is being sent like this to the laborers trapped in Silkyara tunnel.

Uttarkashi (ANI): Hours after the alternative six-inch lifeline pipe reached the Silkyara tunnel, where 41 workers are stranded for over a week, rescue workers are filling khichdi in cylindrical bottles to send to the stranded workers.
Cook Hemant, who prepares khichdi for the stranded labourers, said that this is the first time that hot food is being sent to the labourers.
He said, “This food will be sent inside the tunnel. This is the first time that hot food is being sent. We are sending Khichdi. We are preparing only the food that has been recommended to us.”
On 12 November, it was reported that an under-construction tunnel from Silkyara to Barkot collapsed due to debris falling 60 meters into the tunnel, trapping 41 workers.

Earlier in the day, in a major breakthrough, a six-inch pipe reached the 2 km constructed tunnel portion of the collapsed structure, where workers are stranded.
Rescue operation in-charge Colonel Deepak Patil said that through this alternative lifeline we can send food, mobile and charger inside the tunnel.
On what food items will be sent to the stranded labourers, he said that keeping in mind the condition of the labourers, a list has been prepared with the help of doctors on the available food options.
“We are bringing wide-mouth plastic cylindrical bottles so that we can send bananas, apples, khichdi and dalia,” he said.
Earlier in the day, Anshu Manish Khulko, director of the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL), said there was joy among the stranded laborers after learning about the success.

NHIDCL director said that rescue teams will now go with full force to rescue the workers.
Khulko said, “At first there was doubt about what would happen if the first lifeline was closed. But now that we have established an alternative lifeline, we will move forward with full force.”

Meanwhile, two robotics machines of the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) – weighing 20 kg and 50 kg – have reached the site.
On the use of DRDO’s robotics machine, NHIDCL director said, “An attempt was made to use that machine inside, but as I told you, the level and debris inside (the tunnel) is very loose, so it did not succeed.” There.” (ANI)
