Chhath Puja: Many rules have to be followed during the difficult fast of Chhath Puja. Special attention should be paid to everything from puja to prasad. During this puja, many types of offerings including Thekua Prasad are offered. The puja is considered incomplete without this Prasad Thekua. It is believed that Chhath Maiya is very fond of Thekua Prasad. It is not only crispy, but also very tasty. It takes time to prepare but this prasad is also very tasty to eat. So know how to make Thekua:
Material
Sugar or jaggery – 250 grams
Wheat flour – 500 grams
Coconut – 1 cup grated
Ghee – 3 tbsp
Cardamom powder – 10

To make Thekua Prasad for Chhath Puja, first cut the jaggery into small pieces and then put these pieces and half a cup of water in a big pan and heat it. – When it boils, check with a spoon whether the jaggery has dissolved well in the water or not. – Now mix desi ghee in jaggery water and keep it for some time till it cools down. – Mix flour, cardamom and coconut powder in a clean vessel and knead the dough using water mixed with jaggery. – Now take out the ball from the dough and shape it lengthwise with your palm and place it in the mold and give a little pressure with your palm. Similarly, make the rest of the thekuas also. To make thekua, heat desi ghee in a clean pan on low flame and fry the thekua in it. It will fry on medium flame all the time. So that it gets fried completely. – Fry the thekua until it turns golden brown and then take it out from the pan. – After this, place clean paper on a plate and take out thekua one by one.
