How to remove burning smell from cooked rice
New Delhi: Most of the people in India like to eat rice. In such a situation, many times when guests come, people prepare cumin rice and pea pulao and serve them hot. But, in a hurry or after putting the rice cooker or pot on the stove, we forget it. There is a burning smell coming from the rice. In such a situation, I don’t even feel like throwing away the cooked rice. Today we are going to tell you about some tricks, by trying which the burning smell of rice will disappear in a pinch:

If the rice is burnt then you do not have to put in much effort to remove the burning smell coming from it. Just one onion will do wonders. All you have to do is take a medium sized onion. Cut it into four pieces along with the peel. Put these four pieces in the rice vessel by pressing them in all the four corners.
Close the lid of the cooker, if there is rice to be cooked then keep a plate on it also. Leave it like this for 10-15 minutes. Now remove the lid and check that the burning smell has disappeared from the rice. The onion has absorbed all the aroma, if the rice is burnt too much at the bottom then do not eat it. On top of that, you can consume good rice. It will taste as delicious as before.
