Humid summer in Bihar, schools up to 12th closed till June 18
Patna (IANS) | In most areas of the state including Bihar’s capital Patna, people are troubled due to the humid heat on Monday. After the rains on Sunday evening in Patna and many other areas, there was bright sunshine on Monday. Meanwhile, the Patna district administration has given instructions to keep all schools from pre-school to class 12 closed till June 18 in view of the heat.
Patna District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh has said in the order that schools have been closed in view of the possibility of adverse effect on the health and life of children due to high temperature and severe heat especially in the afternoon.
Anganwadi centers have also been kept closed due to the heat.
By the way, on Sunday evening in Patna, the weather changed and it rained with strong wind, which gave relief to the people from the heat. But, on Monday it was again scorching hot.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain with strong wind in many areas of the state. Here, the department has expressed the possibility of monsoon reaching Bihar in the next two days.
Meteorologists say that there is a possibility of monsoon reaching Bihar in the next one or two days.
Due to the influence of Purva wind in Bihar, people may have to face sweating heat.
