Husband gave such a horrifying death to his wife, even the police were surprised to see the dead body
Chikkamagaluru. In Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka, a man mixed cyanide in his wife’s food, due to which she died. Police said on Wednesday that the accused was having an affair with a woman, which was opposed by his wife. Police have arrested the accused. The accused has been identified as Darshan. Darshan’s wife Shweta was found dead at her residence in village Devvrinda under Gonibidu police station area of the district. The woman’s parents became suspicious when they tried to perform the last rites before their arrival. Darshan had tried to present it as a case of suicide. He had claimed that his wife injected herself with poison with a syringe and committed suicide. Later he claimed that Shweta had suffered a heart attack. The parents of the deceased suspected that the accused (husband) had murdered Shweta. The post mortem report confirmed that it was not a case of heart attack. The police detained the accused and during interrogation he confessed to his crime. According to the police, Shweta and the accused were in love with each other since college days and got married three years ago. However, Darshan had recently started having an affair at his workplace. After finding out about the affair, Shweta had called her husband’s girlfriend and warned her not to continue the affair with her husband. Angered by this, the accused had planned to eliminate him. He had mixed cyanide in a ragi ball and given it to her. Shweta died after eating this.
