Husband kills wife, then commits suicide by hanging himself

Bahraich (Uttar Pradesh): Husband killed wife in Nanpara of the district. After that he committed suicide by hanging himself. The two deaths created a sensation in the area. Police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem. The police is busy investigating the entire matter.

Dheeraj (32), resident of Nanpara town of Nanpara Kotwali area, used to support his family by driving a rickshaw. He used to take drugs. Due to which he used to beat his wife. When he came home late on Monday night, he was drunk. It is said that there was a dispute with his wife over some issue. After which he beat his wife Aarti (30) with a rod. He was beaten to death with a rod. After that he committed suicide by hanging himself. After the incident, there was chaos in the locality along with the family members. Police reached the spot and sent both the bodies for post-mortem.

Family members say that there used to be a lot of discord and fighting between husband and wife every day. Due to which this accident happened. ASP Rural Pavitra Mohan Tripathi said that legal action is being taken on the basis of the statement of the children and family members of the deceased.
