Husband who murdered wife got life imprisonment
Gurugram : The court on Friday sentenced a man to life imprisonment for murdering his wife in 2020. The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Sunil Kumar Diwan also imposed a fine of Rs 50 thousand on Kuldeep. If the fine is not paid, one will have to face additional punishment of one year. On September 22, 2020, the police had registered an FIR in the case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including dowry death. The forensic investigation report revealed that the woman was first beaten with a stick by her husband and then water was poured into her mouth while she was unconscious. Police said that he died due to this.
Kuldeep, a native of Etah, Uttar Pradesh, was married to Asha on 16 November 2016. He came to Naharpur village of Manesar for work and started living in a rented house. His brother Olwin also came here and started living with them. On September 21, 2020, Olwyn left for work at 9 am. Police said they were later told that Asha had committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance. He told that Kuldeep also took him to the hospital and told the police that there was a dispute between them and he committed suicide. However, Olwyn filed a case of dowry death and Kuldeep was arrested, the police said and added that the postmortem report showed Asha died due to asphyxiation and injury marks on her body.
