Hyderabad News: Names of Amit Shah, Kishan Reddy removed from FIR
Hyderabad: The city police have removed the names of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Telangana BJP chief G Kishan Reddy from the FIR lodged last month on a complaint related to the alleged use of minors in an election campaign here.In a complaint to the Hyderabad Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), TPCC vice-president G Niranjan alleged that during the BJP rally from Laldawaja to Sudha Talkies on May 1, there were some minor children on the stage with Shah.The CEO forwarded it to the city police for a factual report, resulting in the FIR being lodged against Shah, Reddy, BJP candidate for Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat K Madhavi Latha, MLA T Raja Singh and BJP leader T Yaman Singh.
However, after proper investigation, it was found that Amit Shah and Kishan Reddy had no role in the incident, a police official said.The official further said that a chargesheet was filed in a local court last week.“The involvement of others 1) Amit Shah, Hon’ble Union Home Minister, 2) Kishan Reddy, Hon’ble Union Minister has not been established. Therefore, his name has been deleted from the case and a chargesheet is being filed,” the police said in a notice issued to the complainant.
