Hyderabad News: POLYCET-2024 results declared
Hyderabad: The State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Hyderabad on Monday declared the results of the Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET-2024). The exam was conducted for candidates seeking admission to all diploma courses in engineering/non-engineering/technology in polytechnics/institutes. Announcing the POLYCET-2024 results, Burra Venkatesham, Principal Secretary, Education Department, said that out of 82,809 students, about 84.20 per cent or 69,728 candidates have managed to clear the entrance exam. The exam was conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET). Hyderabad is set to host major industry events at the Hitex Exhibition Centre from June 21. The POLYCET-2024 entrance exam is for candidates seeking admission to all Diploma courses in Engineering/Non-Engineering/Technology in Polytechnics/Institutes (including institutions running in aided and unaided private polytechnics/private engineering colleges) in the state of Telangana and Diploma in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Seed Technology and Organic Agriculture courses offered by Professor Jai Shankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU), Diploma courses offered by Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (SKLTSHU). A total of 92,808 candidates had registered for the course, out of which 82,809 appeared in the entrance exam. Around 84.20 percent i.e. 69,728 candidates managed to clear the entrance exam. A total of 46,319 boys appeared in the entrance exam, out of which 37,269 i.e. 80.47 percent cleared the entrance exam. Similarly, a total of 36,496 girls had appeared in the entrance exam, of whom 32,459, or 88.94 per cent, cleared the exam, officials said on Monday. In the MPC stream, a total of 69,728 candidates, including 37,269 boys and 32,459 girls, or 84.20 per cent, cleared the entrance exam. In the MBIPC stream, a total of 68,301 students, including 36,076 boys and 32,225 girls, or about 82.48 per cent, managed to clear the entrance exam.
