Hyderabad: Star Samman initiative to provide special health benefits to senior citizens

Hyderabad: To mark World Senior Citizens Day on August 21, Star Hospitals launched a programme called Star Samman to provide healthcare facilities to senior citizens at its hospitals. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ramesh Gudapati, Joint Managing Director of the hospital, said that respecting senior citizens is not just a tradition but a duty. With this new scheme, the hospital hopes to prevent health issues among senior citizens, provide them timely treatment, and also these special facilities aim to reduce their financial burden. He said that the programme has been carefully designed to prioritise their well-being. Dr Rahul Medakkar, CEO of the hospital, recalled how Star Hospitals is driven by family values. Under the Star Samman initiative, a dedicated helpdesk and helpline will be set up, discounts will be provided on services. The hospital also plans to provide affordable home care services.
