Hyderabad: Suspected fake medicines worth Rs 20.52 lakh seized
Hyderabad: The Drugs Control Administration (DCA), Telangana, on Thursday and Friday raided an unlicensed warehouse in Amberpet and seized a stock of drugs worth Rs. 20,52 lakh, which are suspected to be counterfeit/counterfeit and were destined for illegal sale to government hospitals.
Drug inspectors of DCA identified the establishment located near Ali Cafe, Azad Nagar, Amberpet, which was not operated by Mohammed Bashir Ahmed and was allegedly leading the illegal sale of drugs, and was in possession of several cardboard boxes. Were. In which there was a huge quantity of drugs.
A total of fourteen types of medicines including last generation antibiotics, pediatric medicines, medicines against ulcers, analgesics, injections of antibiotics, medicines against malaria etc. were found during sorting in the warehouse.
According to DCA, ‘Ashley Pharmatech Pvt Ltd’ is written on the labels of most of the medicines kept in the warehouse. Limited. Ltd.’, Khasra No. 24, Casa De Campo No. 103, Vasant Kunj, Nueva Delhi-110070 is indicated as “Commercial” and contains details of various manufacturers in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Large list of “Drugs supplied by Government of Telangana”, which includes “Amoxicillin IP 500 mg Capsules” manufactured by Goa Antibiotics & Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Pernem, Goa and “Azithromycin IP 500 mg Tablets” manufactured by Stride Organics Pvt. . , , Limited. During the raid, Mohammed Bashir Ahmed did not disclose the “source of supply” of the drug stock found and could not produce the purchase invoice for the drug stock.
