We will announce the alliance in February: T.T.V. Dhinakaran
Tamil Nadu: AMMK General Secretary TTV Dhinakaran said that they will announce their alliance for the upcoming assembly elections next year before Jayalalithaa’s birthday in February.
Speaking to reporters in Thanjavur on Monday, he said: “Parties leading the alliance have contacted us, and discussions are underway. The details of the alliance will be revealed after the talks conclude.”
It was generally expected that the alliance would be finalized by December 31. The election is likely to be announced in the last week of February.
Therefore, we will confirm and announce the alliance before Jayalalithaa’s birthday (February 24). The alliance that the AMMK joins will definitely win.
Dhinakaran added that people should not be divided by using the names of God, religion, and caste for political purposes.
