IAS director and assistant director demanding bribe arrested

Jaipur. The Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested Fisheries Department Director Premsukh Bishnoi (IAS) and Assistant Director Rakesh Dave red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 35,000 in Jaipur on Friday evening. Acting DG of ACB Hemant Priyadarshi said that both the officers had demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from the complaint of ACB. Later the deal was finalized for Rs 35 thousand. He told that a few days ago the complainant had complained to the ACB, in which it was told that the tender for Annapurna Pond in Tonk was taken in August last year. An application was made for a license to catch fish from the pond in November last year. After this, the officials of the Fisheries Department located at Jaipur Tonk Road were harassing him. Whereas the complainant had also deposited the license fees. Even after this the authorities were not issuing him a license. Due to this he could not catch fish nor could he sell them.

Was not even getting loan from the bank. When the problem was told to the officials, they asked for bribe in exchange for the license. Hemant Priyadarshi said that under the supervision of the ACB team, the complainant met Rakesh Dave, Assistant Director in the Fisheries Department. Rakesh Dave talked to director Premsukh Bishnoi and asked for a bribe of one lakh rupees. Later, after reducing the bribe amount, the deal was finalized for Rs 35 thousand. On Friday, Director Premsukh Bishnoi sent the complainant asking him to give the bribe amount to the Assistant Director. Hemant Priyadarshi told that the complainant gave 35 thousand rupees of bribe amount to Rakesh Dave, Assistant Director in the Fisheries Department office. Then he immediately gave the license to catch and sell fish to the complainant. Different teams of ACB were busy searching till night at the flats of IAS Premsukh Bishnoi in Bikaner and Bapu Nagar in Jaipur and the residence of Assistant Director Rakesh Dave in Pratap Nagar.
