If there is something wrong with PAN card, how to update it?
PAN Card: PAN Card, a permanent account number issued by the Income Tax Department of India, not only helps with income tax but can also be used as a national identity document. If you have made a PAN card or already have a PAN card. PAN Card Online: First of all you have to go to the official website of NSDL e-Governance www.protean-tinpan.com.
Inside the service section you can click on PAN. Click on Apply inside the Change/Correction PAN Data section. Click on Change in Existing PAN Data or Reprint of PAN Card from the Application Type drop-down menu. Go to Categories from the drop-down menu, and select the appropriate category for you, such as whether your PAN card is in the name of an individual or in the name of an entity. Now enter your email and mobile number along with your name and date of birth. Fill the captcha and click on submit. Now your request will be registered and the token number will be sent to your email ID. You can proceed by clicking on the button given there. After proceeding you will be redirected to the form, you can submit the documents in three ways. You have to click on submit scan image through NSDL e-gov. Now you have to enter the necessary information like father’s name, mother’s name, Aadhaar number etc. and then click on Next. You will be redirected to the page where you can change your address on your PAN card. Now you have to upload all the necessary documents like address proof, age certificate, identity card and PAN. Now you have to sign the declaration and click on submit. Then you will reach the payment page. Payment can be made through demand draft, net banking and credit card or debit card. You will receive an acknowledgment receipt after payment. You have to get it printed and reach the NSDL e-Gov office with a copy of the documents. You have to paste two of your photographs in it and sign them. The application for PAN change has to be superscribed on the envelope along with the acknowledgment number.
