IGP Kashmir chairs security review meeting in Srinagar

Srinagar: In a proactive effort to enhance and ensure the security scenario in the area, IGP Kashmir V.K. A police statement said Birdi conducted a comprehensive security review meeting at the Srinagar district police office on Sunday.

Many important topics related to the security scenario in the district were discussed in the discussion.

“IGP Kashmir stressed on a comprehensive assessment of the prevailing security threats and challenges in the district. He directed the officers to ensure that law enforcement agencies are prepared to respond swiftly and effectively to any security incident.”

“He stressed the importance of seamless coordination between various branches of law enforcement to enhance the overall security apparatus,” it said.

Birdie also highlighted exploring strategies to foster positive relationships between law enforcement and the community, with a focus on building trust and collaboration.

“They also stressed on strengthening intelligence sharing mechanisms to stay ahead of potential threats and criminal activities,” the statement said.

While interacting with the officials, the IGP told them that it is very important to increase security surveillance of all important establishments and places besides taking care of vulnerable persons to foil the nefarious designs of terrorists in Srinagar city.

“He also urged them to take all necessary steps to ensure peaceful environment in Srinagar city,” the statement said.

He also directed the officials to increase surveillance and take all proactive steps to maintain peace and stability in Srinagar. He stressed upon the authorities to keep a close vigil on terrorist associates and take all necessary steps under law against them.
