IIM Kashipur: Executive Post Graduate Certificate in Railway Management launched

Udham Singh Nagar: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur and Zenith Railway Academy have announced the launch of an executive management program for modern railway professionals. The 11-month Executive Postgraduate Certificate in Rail Management program is designed to equip professionals and executives with the expertise and managerial skills required to excel in today’s dynamic rail industry. Kunal K Ganguly, Professor and Dean (Development), IIM Kashipur, said, “The objective of the program is to provide a platform to the participants to enhance their knowledge base and hone their skills and competencies to advance in their careers. The programme’s innovative approach, need-based curriculum, data-driven approach and experienced faculty will provide an integrated learning experience that is powerful enough to have a positive impact on the managerial career of the participants. In addition, large-scale expansion projects are underway in railway networks around the world. Globally, Egypt, UAE, Australia and South Asian countries are expanding their rail networks, which is expected to create huge demand for rail management professionals, it said in a statement. In India, metro rail projects, Gati Shakti Initiative, dedicated freight corridor projects, Vande Bharat and multimodal transport projects are requiring trained professionals as a result of the stimulus. Additionally, there are more than 50 metro rail projects underway in the country, where management professionals and leaders are in high demand, it said in a statement. According to the statement, the program will be executive-friendly to suit the schedules of working professionals. Classes will be held on weekends for a duration of 150+ learning hours. It will also have a component of a campus immersion program with a 3-day visit to the IIM Kashipur campus. The program will commence on January 27, 2024.
