Illegal arms smuggling, two smugglers arrested
Emerald. Assembly elections are near in Madhya Pradesh. In such a situation, the police is continuously taking action against illegal activities. In this connection, the police took major action in Panna district on Saturday. The police raided the illegal arms factory and seized a cache of weapons and arrested two accused from the spot. Actually, Ajaygarh police station in-charge Ramharsh Sonkar had received information from an informer that a person was running a factory for making illegal weapons in a house built on a farm in village Bhunda.
Based on the information, the police surrounded the house built in the fields and raided it. During this time, two persons were arrested from the spot and a cache of weapons and material for making them was seized. The police have seized 6 pieces of country-made pistol and one 315 bore country-made pistol, along with a large number of semi-finished weapons. Action was taken against the accused under the Arms Act and they were presented in the court, from where the accused have been sent to jail.
