Illegal cattle racket busted in Jangaon 68 cattle saved
Jangaon: Labor group stopped three trucks laden with 68 cattle and rescued them at Raghunathpally police commissionerate in Komala village early Thursday. Police said the accused was taking cattle to slaughterhouses in violation of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. The animals were being transported from Charla in Bhadradri Kothagudem district to a matadero in Bahadurpura in Hyderabad. The seized property, including cattle, three vehicles and six mobile phones from the accused, was handed over to the Raghunathpalli police for taking additional legal action. While transporters Gundati Chanti, Thipanapalli Narendra, Mohammed Irfan, SD Gaus, Morrey Kiran and Banoth Madhu have been arrested and vendors -Kalla Krishna, Azim and Mohammed Ashfaquddin – are on the run.
