IMD issues yellow alert, dense fog will remain in the state for 3 days

Bhubaneswar: Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar on Thursday said dense fog is likely at a few places over different parts of Odisha during the next 72 hours.

In a weather bulletin, it said no major change is likely to occur in the minimum (night) temperatures over the districts of Odisha during the next five days. It is likely to be 2oC to 3oC above normal at many places during the same period.

Dry weather is likely to persist in Odisha. Light to moderate fog at a few places and at one or two places over Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput districts. Two places above the rest of the districts in the state.

Yellow warning: Dense fog at one or two places likely over Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada and Koraput districts.

Dry weather is likely to persist in Odisha. Light to moderate fog is likely at a few places and at one place in Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundergarh, Deogarh, Angul, Boudh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput districts. Or two places in the remaining districts of Odisha.
