IMD predicts sunny skies, AQI remains moderate at 127
Mumbai: It was sunny with light cool breeze in the city on Friday morning. Mornings in Mumbai have been hazy over the past few weeks due to increase in air pollution due to various factors. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted clear skies in the city and suburbs this morning.
The weather agency has also predicted that the city and suburbs will remain sunny till afternoon and evening. The temperature on Friday is likely to be between 22°C to 28°C.
Mumbai’s temperature was recorded at 24 degrees Celsius on Friday morning while the humidity was 75%.

According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), the AQI in Mumbai is currently in the ‘moderate’ category with a reading of 127.
For reference, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very’. An AQI between 401 and 500 is considered ‘poor’. ‘Serious’.
