Impersonation in Kattakada college: SFI leader Vishak has role in it, criticizes HC
KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Wednesday said that the role of SFI leader Vishak in the impersonation case in the college union elections is serious. The court also observed that the principal’s name would not be sent to the university without Visakh’s insistence. The court asked the prosecution to produce the case diary. The plea will be heard again on June 20. Hence the arrest of Vishak has been put on hold.
But Vishak told the court that he had no role in the matter and only the principal is responsible. Rejecting these arguments, Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas asked what interest the principal had in this and how he could send the name to the university without Vishak’s instigation. The principal sent Vishak’s name to the university instead of Anagha, who was elected as the University Union Councilor (UUC) from Kattakkada Christian College. After the controversy, this letter was withdrawn.
