Importance of voting explained through folk dance
Sarangarh Bilaigarh. Under the direction of District Election Officer and Collector Dr. Fariha Alam Siddiqui, under the development block level sweep in Baramkela, a voter awareness program on the theme “Colours of folk dance”, “With voting resolve” was organized at Indraprastha Stadium. This program was organized by carving the map of Chhattisgarh, Bhima and rangoli. The chief guest of this program was District Election Officer Collector Dr. Fariha Alam Siddiqui and special guest Returning Officer SDM Monica Verma and District Nodal Officer Harishankar Chauhan were present.
Collector Dr. Siddiqui met the participants at the beginning of the program and encouraged them. All the students of the schools present in the program, members of Bihan Group and all the citizens present were sworn in to vote. Citizens of the area including Barmkela participated enthusiastically in this program. Helped in making the sweep successful by participating in voter awareness. In this programme, Karma dance, Sua dance, Surgujia dance, Raut dance, Panthi dance, Kathak dance, Gauri Gaura dance were presented and candle march was taken out. The importance of voting was explained through the brilliant presentation of the program. The Collector said that through Baramkela who had been busy organizing this program for many days. I congratulate that entire team. He said that a very good voter awareness program has been organized with very good presentation and an attempt has been made to imprint it on the minds of voters through folk art and dance. Voting is very important and be sure to cast your vote on 17th November. Many voters will vote for the first time. Make sure to go to the polling station to vote and strengthen democracy by exercising your franchise. Encourage all the citizens of your villages and cities around you in your homes to go to their polling booths on 17th November and exercise their franchise.
