In-charges for BJP candidates under NDA in Tamil Nadu announced

Tamil Nadu: The BJP has been allocated a total of 27 seats in the AIADMK-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for the upcoming assembly elections. The BJP is contesting directly in 26 of these constituencies, while in Tirupattur in Sivaganga district, the South India Forward Bloc candidate will contest on the lotus symbol.

BJP Tamil Nadu President Naina Nagendran on Sunday announced the in-charges for the constituencies where the party’s candidates will contest directly. The purpose of appointing in-charges this time is stated to be to strengthen the party organization at the local level and ensure better coordination in election management.

The BJP in-charges appointed by constituency are as follows: K.P. Ramalingam from Thalli, P. Kanakasabapathy from Modakkurichi, P. Dolphin Sridhar from Tiruvannamalai, R.C. Balanagaraj from Vasudevanallur, Ma. Venkatesan and P. Bhaskar from Avadi, Karthiyani from Aranthangi, Pramila Sampath, S. Satishkumar will handle the election management from Mylapore, R. Nandakumar and N. Pointamani from Avinashi, K. Venkatesan from Rasipuram, S. Raghuram alias Murali from Mannamadurai, S. Meenakshi from Vilavangode, Kathali Narasimhaperumal from Ramanathapuram, M. Meenadev from Kulachal, M. Sivasubramanian from Tiruvarur, K.T. Raghavan from Madurai South, and M. Nachiappan from Kandharvakottai.

Also, leaders of various teams at the state level have been appointed in-charge. G.K. Nagaraj, leader of the state agriculture team, Thanjavur, P. Sampathraj, chairman of the SC department, Pudukkottai, M. Satishraj, organizer of the state commerce team, Padmanabhapuram, R.A. Arjunamurthy, state organizer of the NGO team, Tirupur South, and G.K.S., state executive committee member. Selvakumar Udhagamandalam and National General Committee member J. Lokanathan have also been included in election management.

In addition, State Executive Committee member Duraisamy (A) Challenger Durai, N. Palanisamy Coimbatore North, A.N. Rajakannan Nagakovil, K.S. Radhakrishnan Sathur, K. Vasantharajan Tiruchendur, and former State General Secretary of the OBC Team R. Rajkumar have been appointed in-charges for Radhapuram constituencies.

The BJP states that these appointments are aimed at increasing coordination among party workers at the local level in each region and making the election strategies of the candidates effective. The party said that the appointment of in-charges will accelerate election preparations in each assembly constituency and enable the party to strengthen its vote bank.

Election experts believe this move is significant for the BJP, as electoral contests in Tamil Nadu have always been tough, and the strength of the local organization directly impacts the results.
