In Goa, a man killed his girlfriend after relationship broke up, two arrested
Panaji (IANS). Goa Police has arrested a 22-year-old man for murdering his girlfriend after their breakup. Sources gave this information on Saturday.
Police said that the accused has been identified as 22-year-old Fakir alias Prakash Chunchwad, resident of Porvorim, Goa.
The accused dumped the body of his girlfriend Kamakshi Shankar Uddapanov (30) in Amboli Ghat in neighboring Maharashtra, about 80 km from the crime scene.
A senior police officer told IANS that the incident took place on August 29 in Porvorim in North Goa.
“The accused dumped the body with the help of his friend. After he confessed to the crime, we took him to the spot and recovered the body (on Friday),” the police officer said.
Superintendent of Police Nidhin Valsan said, “The friend of the accused has also been arrested.”
Police said Chunchwad stabbed Kamakshi Uddapanov to death at her flat.
Before the murder, he had a fight with the woman, after which a crime was registered against him at the Mapusa police station.
Later, he went to her flat in Porvorim and carried out the incident.
Porvorim police have seized the car used to transport the body of deceased Kamakshi.
