Inauguration of coaching camp in Darrang
Mangaldai: Darrang District Committee of Dr. Hedgewar Seva Samiti, in a unique commendable initiative, has started a unique scheme of organizing one year coaching program for meritorious UPSC/APSC aspirants from economically weaker sections of Darrang district. The initiative was formally launched at an inauguration ceremony at the District Library Auditorium here on Sunday. The inauguration ceremony was attended by around five hundred enthusiastic spectators including students, parents, teachers, government officials and social workers.
Addressing the function as guest speaker, UK-based senior physician and progressive thinker-cum-author Dr. Jayant Biswa Sarma said that it is very encouraging for a civil services aspirant to serve the country as the development mechanism is completely The country is in the hands of civil servants while the existence of politicians is temporary, but becoming an IAS is not the ‘be all, end all’. Had this been the case, the recruitment of several hundreds of highly meritorious civil servants every year since independence could have taken the country’s development to significant heights. Participating in an interactive session with the participants, Vinay Sheel Choudhary, Director, Sukalp IAS Academy, who is also the co-partner of the programme, said that the selected aspirants will be guided and mentored in both offline and online modes and helped them Will go. Expressing his views, he said that a candidate having clear knowledge about NCERT syllabus from class VIII to XII can develop the habit of studying 12 hours a day and regularly study current affairs for at least one year. Earlier, program coordinator Rana Bashistha, in his welcome speech, gave a brief outline on the objectives of the program.
