Incited daughter-in-law to commit suicide, brother-in-law arrested for calling her infertile
Rajnandgaon: The police arrested the accused who abetted suicide and took action. The accused used to taunt his brother and daughter-in-law by saying that he was barren because he did not have a child. Tired of being taunted by calling her barren, the deceased Rekhabai Netam committed suicide by hanging herself with a towel in the love room of her house.
The accused was absconding since the crime was registered. According to the information received from the sources, on September 1, 2022, on the report of informant Nirmal Netam, father Late Anjoriram Netam, 48 years Sakin Bitejhar, investigation action was taken by registering Marg No. 37/23 Section 174 Jaffo in Police Station Khadgaon. During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused Premsingh Netam used to torture the deceased Rekhabai Netam by insulting her for 53 years by saying that she was infertile due to not having a child.
Due to the motivation of the accused, the deceased had committed suicide by hanging herself. On investigation, it was found that crime under section 306 of Indian Penal Code has been committed and investigation action was taken by registering crime number 84/23 of section 306 of Indian Penal Code. Due to the serious nature of the matter, a team was formed to trace the accused under the direction of Mohalla-Manpur-Anna Chowki Superintendent of Police Ratna Singh, under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Vivek Shukla and Additional Superintendent of Police Manpur Mayank Tiwari and under the leadership of Khadgaon police station in-charge Inspector Sanjay Kumar Yadav. Went. He was absconding due to the pain of the accused. On receiving information about his arrival home, the accused Premsingh Netam was taken into custody, who after being interrogated accepted his crime and was arrested on 30th November and presented in the Honorable Court An Chowki. He was detained in District Jail Rajnandgaon after the Honorable Court issued a jail warrant.
