Eid is a special festival of the Muslim community. Eid-e-Milad un Nabi or Barawafat will be celebrated on Thursday (September 28). On this occasion, people can sweeten the mouth of their loved ones with Sheer Khurma. This is a sweet dish full of flavour. Its taste is liked by everyone, big or small. Sheer Khurma can also be prepared and served to the guests who come to wish them Eid. Whoever eats it will not be able to live without praising it. It is very popular all over India. Material
Vermicelli – 200 grams
Milk – 2 liters
Saffron – a pinch
Cardamom – 5-6
Sugar – 2 cups (as per taste)
Cashews – 10
Pistachios – 10
Almonds – 10
Desi Ghee – 3 tsp
Method
-First of all roast the vermicelli. For this, put desi ghee in a non-stick pan and heat it.
When ghee melts, add vermicelli to it and fry on low flame. After frying for 2-3 minutes, the color of vermicelli will turn light brown.
After this, turn off the gas and take out the cooked vermicelli in a bowl and keep it aside.
Now pour milk in a deep bottomed vessel and heat it. When the milk comes to the first boil, add cardamom and saffron in it.
- After this, cook the milk until its quantity remains approximately half.
After this, add sugar according to your taste in milk and let the milk cook. - Keep stirring the milk in between with the help of a big spoon. During this, cut dry fruits into fine pieces.
- After the milk is cooked well, add roasted vermicelli to it and mix it with a spoon.
- After this add dry fruits and let the sheer khurma cook for 5-7 more minutes.
- After this turn off the gas. Sheer Khurma is ready. If you prefer to eat it cold, then let the sheer khurma cool to room temperature first.
- After this keep it in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Then put it in a serving bowl and garnish with dry fruits and serve.
