India is moving forward with full enthusiasm in adopting new technology: President
New Delhi (IANS). President Draupadi Murmu said on Wednesday that India is moving forward with great enthusiasm in adopting new technology and ways of working in many fields including the health sector.
President Draupadi Murmu said this in his address after launching the Ayushman Bhava campaign from Raj Bhavan in Gujarat in the presence of Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and other dignitaries.
Citing the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) launched in September 2021, the President expressed confidence that “India will set an example of digital inclusion in the healthcare sector like other sectors.”
Talking about the Ayushman Bhava campaign, the President said, “It will make our country successful in achieving the objective of Universal Health Coverage (UHC).”
The President said, “If every individual and every family remains healthy, the resolve to create a healthy India will be fulfilled. A multi-ministerial approach has been adopted to achieve this goal. Everyone’s cooperation will be helpful in achieving such big goals.” will be.”
On this occasion, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said, “Ayushman Bhava will emerge as a big initiative in the field of healthcare. With this campaign, India is going to write a new chapter in making healthcare affordable and accessible.”
Ayushman Bhava Abhiyan is a comprehensive nationwide healthcare initiative of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare which aims to provide saturation coverage of healthcare services to every village and town in the country.
The campaign will be implemented during ‘Seva Pakhwada’ from September 17 (on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday) to October 2.
